Overview of initiative

Model-Based Design (MBD) is the most demanding & well-paid career in the industry. Software tools like Scilab & Xcos, Matlab & Simulink, GNU Octave & others are used to build plant models & complex control models to generate the control codes & to study the system behavior. Engineers integrate such Models with HIL setup to simulate, study & tune the controls within the room environment.  According to New Education Policy all Students have to undergo Internship in first year of Engineering (I/II Semester).

Every year, lakhs of students pass out as engineers in the nation from different disciplines. only 3 per cent were able to get high-quality tech jobs. Why not others? Because of Lack of Skill in Students. Defiantly you will upgrade your Skill when your exposure to Real time problems in Internship.  

The team at Decibels Lab believe in joining hands to train engineering students for jobs in the Model-Based Design sector. The training is offered in the form of a 4-week online internship.

Training will be 100% practical & project-based using the free open-source software called Scilab & Xcos. Your active participation will help you gain skills, build competency, project experience as similar to industry and being in the safety at home.

Who can apply?

Students from multi-disciplinary departments like Department of Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Robotics & Automobile engineering and who needs to meet the AICTE internship norms for academic fulfillment can apply.

What will I learn in this internship?

You will get to learn the Model-Based Design (MBD) & build Basic real-time projects related to Electric Vehicle using Free and Open-end software like “Scilab Xcos”. (Scilab-Xcos is similar to Matlab Simulink)
