The Robot Operating System (ROS) is a flexible framework for writing robot software. It is a collection of tools, libraries, and conventions that aim to simplify the task of creating complex and robust robot behavior across a wide variety of robotic platforms. ROS is used in all the major Robotic & Automation companies such as,

All such progress is aligned with Industry 4.0. It is a modern industrial revolution and Autonomous Robots is one of the pillars in Industry 4.0. The industries are moving towards automation, we have to understand the need of up skilling & getting ourselves prepared for future requirements in the market. 

This foundation course on ROS will help you to know about the use cases of ROS, how industries are leveraging ROS for building robots and you will be handheld to build a simple robot during the course. We have curated the content in a very organised manner & in the step by step approach. Even if you are not aware of anything in the area of Robotics or ROS, this course can help you learn & gain confidence.

- Programming publisher and subscriber in ROS

- Introduction to ROS essentials, ROS topics and ROS nodes


Building a robotic arm

- Introduction to a robotic arm, working, rigid body motion, degrees of freedom, robot links & joints

- Introduction to Rviz

- Creating launch file to visualize robotic arm in Rviz

Build a URDF robotic arm in ROS

Project

During this course you get to build a project on your computers using ROS & Rivz. Through this process of building a robot, you will understand the usage of ROS in real world industrial applications.
