Course Content

Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries are complex energy storage devices with their performance behavior highly dependent on operating conditions such as temperature, load current, state-of-charge (SOC), cycle count & more. Thus, in order to evaluate their techno-economic viability for a certain application, detailed battery behavior becomes necessary.

Course on Cell testing & characterization will cover the detailed understanding of the below topics with the aid of real time-tests we have conducted in the lab in KTH University Sweden. Approach to the teaching will start from the fundamentals of cell datasheet, abbreviations, equipment, test cases and purpose of the test, plots for understanding the behavior of cell & its characteristics wrt to various parameters.

By the end of the course, you will have a detailed understanding of test standards, test method, test data collection, data plots, visualization & analysis.
