Overview of Lab established at BMS Institute of Technology and Management, Bengaluru

We established the Electric Vehicle Lab at BMS Institute of Technology and Management on 21st February 2024 to serve as a hub for students and researchers to explore various aspects of EV technology. This lab includes facilities for a

  1. Cell Testing and Characterisation Lab

  2. Two-Wheeler EV with a Data Acquisition System Lab

  3. EV Powertrain Demonstration Kit.

These resources enable students to engage in hands-on learning and gain practical experience, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications in electric vehicle technology.

The lab is classified at an intermediate level and aims to enhance the knowledge of students and faculty with hands-on exposure to EV technology. By providing these practical learning opportunities, the lab fosters an environment of innovation and skill development, preparing future engineers for the rapidly evolving field of electric vehicles. This initiative is a significant step towards empowering students with the expertise needed to excel in the EV industry.

Outcomes of EV COE

  • Students and faculty gain hands-on experience with advanced EV technologies.

  • The lab enables innovative research projects in the electric vehicle domain.

  • Students receive industry-relevant training, improving their job readiness.

  • Practical experience complements academic learning, enriching education in EV technology.
