Course overview

Battery Management System (BMS) is an integral part of packs in traction or any other applications where lithium-ion cells are used. As discussed in the "Cell for traction" course, BMS ensures the cell operation within SOA, takes care of charge & discharge control, thermal control, computation for SOC & SOh estimations, data logging, data communication and more of other operations. 

This course lays the perfect foundation and helps you learn the BMS in a detailed manner. Not limiting to theoretical sessions, we have created the project (Modeling BMS in Scilab) which you will be able to individually execute with the mentorship of our team. 

We will build a controller & plant model of BMS, learn to write SOC estimation algorithms, perform several studies to gain deeper insights.
