Product Overview

The Advance Electric Vehicle Powertrain Bench by Decibels Lab is an industrial-grade learning platform that integrates key EV subsystems -  motor, motor controller, battery, battery management system, EV charger, Motor loading, regenerative systems, pre-charging systems, diagnostics & DC-DC converter - into a single safe and modular unit.

This setup can be described as a ‘vehicle-on-bench’ system featuring actual vehicle-grade components and diagnostic interfaces. It enables learners to configure the Battery Management System (BMS), understand BMS software functions through a dedicated GUI, and explore motor controller software configuration. Users can test and analyse the impact of various BMS and motor controller parameters, perform basic motoring & regeneration characterisation, and understand pre-charge circuit operation along with relevant calculations. The system also facilitates fault diagnostics and system-level interaction analysis. It serves as a vital laboratory solution for academic courses and industry-focused training programs.
