Decibels Lab, in collaboration with Christ (Deemed to be University), Kengeri Campus, has established a state-of-the-art Center of Excellence in Electric Vehicle Technology (E-Mobility Center). This partnership brings hands-on EV education into the academic ecosystem through advanced labs, industry-aligned curriculum, and real-world training programs. With offerings like the M.Tech in Electric Vehicle Technology and the Post Graduate Diploma in EV Technology (PGDP) for Tata Motors, the center enables students and professionals to gain practical expertise in battery systems, powertrains, embedded software, and simulations—bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry requirements.

The Electric Vehicle Center of Excellence (EV COE) at Christ (Deemed to be University), Kengeri Campus, is spread across 5000+ sq. ft. and equipped with industry-standard instruments and setups. With an investment of over ₹3 Crores, the facility features advanced infrastructure including lithium-ion cell testing systems, BMS development benches, chassis dynamometers, motor test rigs, and automotive software development stations. This real-world EV ecosystem supports project-based learning, cutting-edge research, and strong industry collaboration—empowering students and professionals to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and hands-on EV engineering.

Skilling the Present & Future Workforce

Empowering Industry Professionals and Students with In-Demand EV Expertise

At Christ (Deemed to be University), our collaboration under the University Partner Program focuses on upskilling both current industry professionals and future engineers. Through programs like the Post Graduate Diploma in EV Technology (PGDP), we’ve successfully trained 35 Tata Motors engineers in advanced EV systems. The ongoing PL2 program has equipped over 76 Tata Motors employees with hands-on expertise in battery technology, BMS, powertrains, and vehicle testing. Additionally, 15 employees from TVS Motor Company have been trained through specialized EV programs. This integrated skilling ecosystem bridges the gap between academic learning and real-world industry needs—strengthening the workforce for the EV revolution.
