Decibels Lab

We have established the DSCE Decibels Lab Electric Vehicle - Center of Excellence on 15th January 2025 to serve as a platform for students and researchers to explore and analyze EV powertrain performance, efficiency, and durability through real-world simulations. This advanced facility includes:  

1. Road Load Simulation Dynamometer 
2. Two-Wheeler Electric Vehicle with DAC  
3. Dynamometer Server Rack

Designed as an intermediate-level lab, this facility enables students to test and validate electric vehicle powertrains under controlled conditions, measuring torque, power output, energy consumption, and thermal characteristics. By replicating real-world scenarios, the lab helps bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical industry applications in EV technology.  

The collaboration between Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering and Decibels Lab aims to continuously enhance this Center of Excellence, ensuring it remains at the forefront of EV performance testing and powertrain research. The lab is dedicated to equipping students and faculty with industry-relevant skills in vehicle diagnostics, system calibration, and powertrain optimization, preparing them for careers in electric mobility.  

Looking ahead, DSCE and Decibels Lab plan to further expand the lab’s capabilities with more sophisticated testing tools and advanced training programs. This initiative will foster innovation, industry-level research, and hands-on exposure, creating a premier EV testing and development hub for the next generation of engineers.
